Radiofrequency is a non-invasive way of tightening loose or lax skin around the forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth, jawline, jowls but also the area under the chin/neck. This is a great way of reducing fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores and improving skin tone and texture as well as dull skin.
As your skin matures, and is continuously subjected to environmental effects, the skin’s collagen and elastin – which are proteins that keep your skin tight – break down faster. As your skin loses elasticity, you may develop wrinkles and fine lines and your skin may appear to look tired and dull.
The Multipolar Radiofrequency treatments use electrical pulses to heats the dermis (the deeper skin layer) through a handpiece without damaging the epidermis (the top layers of the skin), to stimulate new collagen growth and provide an improvement in skin laxity and appearance, to remodel and enhance dermal density with minimal risks.

The generated heat causes local contraction of the collagen fibres immediately tightening the skin to remodel and rejuvenate the previous effects of ageing.
The local fibroblasts stimulate the collagen formation by heating the dermis and it then acts as a new deep foundation for the skin. This produces further delayed tightening, which only becomes evident slowly over the next few months.
Radiofrequency also improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage and provides a better oxygen supply and greater toxin clearance.
RF Skin Tightening Facial Treatment takes around 75 min and includes:
- Double cleanse;
- Enzymatic exfoliation;
- 25 minutes of RF skin tightening;
- Custom mask;
- A choice of hands or scalp massage;
- Skincare application: serum, cream, SPF;
- Treatment plan and homecare recommendations.
How does a radiofrequency facial work?
Radiofrequency is all about stimulating your own collagen production. During a treatment a machine is used to heat the skin to between 38-40 degrees with radiofrequency, you do feel the heat in the skin but it’s comfortable.
Is there any other discomfort or downtime involved?
It takes 25 minutes to treat a whole face and there is no discomfort just the feeling of heat in the skin. There is no downtime – you could easily have a treatment at lunchtime and go out that evening looking amazing!
What are the benefits and how long do they last?
You get an immediate tightening of the collagen fibres, so it’s great to do before an event, but it also gives a long-lasting lift and increased volume. It also continues to promote collagen production over the four-six weeks following treatment. The effects of Radiofrequency treatments will continue to improve over the next few months as the skin produces new collagen. Results typically last for a minimum of six months, although with ongoing treatments, results are often long-lasting.
Can radiofrequency help reduce lines and wrinkles?
It’s great for softening fine lines – especially the nose to mouth lines – as well as lifting the cheeks and tightening the jawline, so it’s great for age prevention.
How many treatments do you need?
The number of treatments you will need depends entirely on the severity of your age-related skin concerns. Generally speaking, most clients require 6 to 10 treatment appointments spaces 10 to 15 days apart- to achieve ideal results. However, if you have mild skin laxity and you respond favorably to the treatment, you may only require 3-5 appointments.
